A handicap is a measure of a player's skill level, calculated based on their past scores and the difficulty of the courses they have played. A score, on the other hand, is the number of strokes a player takes to complete a round of golf.
Yes, for the 2025 Season, you can participate in more than one qualifier with a different partner. This may change in future seasons at the discretion of the Tournament Director. By paying another entry fee for both players or individual players, per event, you’re welcome to play in as many qualifiers as you’d like to.
Expection to this rule,
Yes, you can replace your partner for qualifiers by emailing americangolfclassictour@gmail.com. For the Championship Rounds, if your partner cannot attend, you can either forfeit your spot or play as a single. Playing as a single, you will use 50% of your own handicap and only play one ball.
Yes, a verified handicap is required. Refer to the first section for details. Competitive tournaments are a great way to establish your handicap. See USGA about golf handicaps.
You can manually input scores from your old association. You can play in your local club events or play in a pay-to-play tournament and start establishing your handicap. Yes, we will confirm all handicaps for everyplayer.
You will play as a scratch, with potential handicap adjustments at the Tournament Director’s discretion. We recommend playing more golf and posting your scores
You may opt out of prizes that would negate your amateur status. Please declare your status when you register. This will not change at any time during the tournament, and it will always be disclosed what we pay out to each individual player. Note: all players that receive winning will receive a W9.
The fee covers 18 holes of golf, food, non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day, A tee gift, and a great time. If you finish in the top positions, you’ll advance to the Championship. Players are responsible for their own travel and lodging for the Championship and Qualifiers.
Yes, all participants must be 18+ at the time of the tournament. A valid ID is required at on-site registration. This can change at any time.
We are all about family and friends. Each location will be noted during sign-up about spectators and any further detail needed to disclosed. We want you to have your friends and family there to support your accomplishments. However, we mush adhere to the course rules and guidelines. Also controlled by local laws etc.
Teams will play from American Golf Classic Tees approximately 6900 Max 6700 Min for men and 6500 to 6200 for women. All Par 3's will be played at the same tee box.
The Championship will be held Oct. or Nov. 2025. The exact location will be announced. Two Day event 2 Round Event for Final Event. Qualifiers are responsible tor their travel and lodging to and from the final event.
No, once you qualify in a top position at any event, you are in. Play in one qualifier and finish in the qualifying spots, and you’re done. See you at the Championship.
