American Golf Classic & Swing for a Million Tour Policies

 All policies are subject to change. It is the player’s responsibility to know and understand these policies.

 General Eligibility Requirements

• The tour is open to both professional golfers and amateurs who are 18 years of age or older.
• Amateur Players:
  • Amateurs are allowed to participate in the Stroke Play Series on a limited basis, subject to approval by the Tour Director.
  • Amateurs must maintain a handicap of 3 or less.
  • To preserve amateur status, payouts for amateurs will be adjusted to lower values than those awarded to professionals.
  • Amateurs are responsible for ensuring they comply with governing rules to retain their amateur status.
• Foreign Players:
  • International players are always welcome to compete on the tour.

 The American Golf Classic (AGC) & Swing for a Million Golf Tour is designed for competitive golfers who love the game and adhere to the Rules of Golf. The tour features two distinct series at every qualifying location:

1. Two-Player Best Ball Series

• Format:
  • Teams of two using 50% of their established handicaps. (More about handicap System see (official rules) 
  • Each qualifying event consists of one round typically played on Mondays
• Advancement:
  • To qualify for the final event, teams must finish in the top 2 or 3 positions at their qualifying location.
  • At the final event, teams will compete for an estimated $1 million purse, with $250,000 per player awarded to the winning team.

2. Stroke Play Series

• Format:
  • Individual stroke play, designed for scratch players and professional golfers.
  • Each qualifying event consists of one round, typically played on Tuesdays.
• Advancement:
  • Players must finish in the top 5 or 6 positions to advance to the Championship Rounds in November.
  • At the final event, individuals will compete for an estimated $1 million purse, with the winner receiving $500,000.

Implementation Plan

1. Top 5 Players Qualify:
   • From 18 tournaments, advance the top 5 players.

1. Top 6 Players Qualify:
   • From 9 tournaments, advance the top 6 players.

1. Final Check:
   • Ensure the total adds up to 144 players.

To ensure the highest level of competition and maintain the professionalism of the tour, the AGC & Swing for a Million Tour reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

• Refuse participation to any player whose actions or conduct may adversely affect other players or the tournament environment.
• Enforce rules and standards that promote the integrity and reputation of the tour.

These policies are in place to create a competitive, fair, and professional environment for all participants in the American Golf Classic & Swing for a Million tour.

During the registration process for each qualifier in the American Golf Classic & Swing for a Million, all participants will be informed of the number of spots available to advance to the Championship Round.

For most events, the top 5 finishers will secure their place in the final event. In select tournaments, the top 6 finishers will advance to account for the full Championship field of 144 players.

Flexibility for Tie Situations

• Allow for playoffs or tiebreakers in tournaments to determine the exact number of qualifiers if ties occur near the cut line (e.g., 5th or 6th place).
  • This system ensures a balanced and competitive field while maintaining consistency across all tournaments.
