2026 PAR-3 SHOOTOUT Official Rules & Complete Details

These Official Rules govern participation in the 2026 Par-3 Shootout presented by the American Golf Classic. Participation constitutes acceptance of these rules.

1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to participate in the 2026 Par-3 Shootout and associated opportunities, an individual must:

  • Be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of participation
  • Be an amateur golfer, NO PRO or Professional, Teaching Pro, Playing Professional 
  • Be legally eligible to participate in skill-based golf competitions in their state
  • Be actively playing a 9-hole or 18-hole round at the host golf course on the event day
  • Not be an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of American Golf Classic, participating golf courses, sponsors, or insurers

American Golf Classic reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage.

FREE ENTRY METHOD (NO PURCHASE NECESSARY)

No purchase is required to receive an entry into the State Finals drawing.

Eligible participants receive one (1) free entry by completing the designated event sign-up process as outlined on the event registration page or on-site instructions.

  • Free entries are equal in value to any other drawing entry
  • Free entry does not require participation in the Par-3 Shootout
  • Drawing entries are governed by Official Rules and verification procedures

Void where prohibited by law.

$25 PAR-3 SHOOTOUT SHOT (OPTIONAL)

 Participants may optionally choose to take part in the Par-3 Shootout for $25 per shot.

The $25 Shootout entry provides:

  • One (1) official tee shot on the designated Par-3 hole
  • Shot observation and verification by event staff
  • Eligibility for performance-based outcomes as described below

Participation in the $25 Shootout is not required to enter any drawing.

PERFORMANCE-BASED OUTCOMES

 A. Shot Stays on the Green

If a participant’s tee shot hits and remains on the putting surface:

  • The participant receives one (1) additional entry into the State Finals drawing
  • Entries are cumulative and logged by event staff

B. Birdie Outcome

If the Par-3 Shootout hole results in a birdie score:

  • The participant receives $50.00 in Pro Shop Credit
  • Credit must be used on the same day
  • Credit is non-cash and subject to host course policies

C. Hole-in-One Outcome

If a participant records a hole-in-one during the Par-3 Shootout:

The participant earns all of the following:

  • Direct qualification to the State Final
  • A trip to Scottsdale, Arizona to participate in the National Final
  • One (1) opportunity at the State Final to attempt a single shot for $1,000,000
  • One (1) opportunity at the National Final to attempt a single shot for $1,000,000

Additionally:

  • At the State Final, the participant will compete in a Closest-to-the-Pin contest with a cash award
  • At the National Final, multiple competitors may win significant Closest-to-the-Pin cash prizes

All outcomes are subject to verification and Official Rules.

STATE & NATIONAL FINALS MECHANICS State Finals

  • State Finals include skill-based Par-3 challenges and Closest-to-the-Pin contests
  • Participants may qualify via drawing or direct qualification
  • Cash awards and advancement opportunities are disclosed in advance

National Final (Scottsdale, AZ)

  • Qualified participants receive one (1) verified shot opportunity for the $1,000,000 prize
  • Closest-to-the-Pin contests with large cash awards are conducted
  • Prize structures and procedures are disclosed prior to participation

PRIZE VERIFICATION & AWARDING

All prizes and opportunities are subject to:

  • Shot verification by event officials
  • Compliance with Official Rules
  • Completion of required documentation
  • Eligibility confirmation

Failure to meet verification requirements may result in disqualification.

Participation does not guarantee any prize.

INSURANCE DISCLOSURE (IF APPLICABLE)

 Certain prize opportunities, including high-value awards, may be insured by a third-party prize indemnity provider.

  • Insurance coverage terms are confidential and do not alter participant obligations
  • All insured prizes are awarded only upon full compliance with Official Rules
  • American Golf Classic makes no representation regarding insurance terms beyond prize fulfillment

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • All competitions are skill-based
  • Void where prohibited by law
  • American Golf Classic reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel events as necessary
  • Decisions of event officials are final
